LI Hing Mui

$63.00

Seven colors included:

Ananda, maoli, waikiki, kalia, ‘ula ‘ula, lili’uokalani and pele.

Li hing mui is sweet, salty and sour powder from dried plums. In Hawai’i we sprinkle this deliciousness on anything from shave ice to fresh fruits. Although it has its origen in China, it came to Hawai’i in the 1800s via immigrants who worked on the Hawaiian sugar plantations.

Paint size: half pan. A little bit of paint goes a long way.

Presenting the smallest set of half pan paints. This tin has capacity for another seven HI Chromatics half pans or three full pans.

This travel tin case allows you to use it as a palette, too!
It features three large wells for mixing and painting with big brushes plus six small wells.

HI Chromatics is an innovative handmade and vegan watercolor line based in natural practice and composed of organic vegetable glycerin, organic gum Arabic (acacia tree sap), drops of pure clove oil, non toxic and natural pigments, and Hawaiian distilled water. Our deep connection to the islands of Hawai’i means we are passionate about preserving our environment.
Our line of eco-friendly watercolors recall the beautiful chromatic variations of this tropical paradise, from the brilliant blue of the ocean to the verdant green of the mountains, and we are excited to share this vibrant, aloha spirit with you.

We’re sure you’ll enjoy painting with them because we sure did have the most fun making them for you. Aloha!

*Please note that, depending on availability, a color or two might be substituted at our discretion.
